About
Together with my wife, Michelle Santos, we recently opened a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly. We own and operate the Gladys Rotger Foundation located in a beautifully well-maintained neighborhood in Ontario, CA. A bit of history on the name and reason for opening our home. We decided to open our home in honor of my mother, Gladys Rotger, who passed away a few years ago. She was such an amazing person to everyone who knew and loved her. What better way to honor her than to continue to give the kindness, love and compassion that she showed toward her children, family and friends.
Our home is designed to assist our residence in living their life to the fullest in a safe, caring and stimulating home setting. Our residents come first and will have access to 24 hour care by well qualified staff that must possess the caring qualities that we have created our home to be. It is important for our residents to know that their loved ones are always welcome to come to visit and spend time with them at the home because we feel it is very important to maintain a close family tie while living away from home.
Our home is a 3 bedroom home that offers one semi private room that sleeps two residents comfortably. This semi private room has a starting price of $2300. We also offer 2 private single rooms that have a starting rate of $2500.
Some of the services we offer are the following:
? 24 hour care and supervision;
? Bedridden and Hospice care waiver;
? 3 well-balanced meals and snacks provided daily;
? Personal care such as bathing, grooming and dressing;
? Special care in mobility, transferring and positioning;
? Centrally stored medication;
? Administration and assistance with medication;
? 24 hour housekeeping and laundry services;
? Toileting and incontinent care management;**
? Activities tailored toward each clients abilities such as range of motion exercises;
? Story-telling, meaningful conversations and quiet reading time offered;
? Movie nights and music appreciation;
? Communication with family;
? Wired smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors;
? Home is equipped with a fire, police and emergency security system;
? Facility is wheelchair accessible.
**Incontinent supplies are not included in the base price for rooms.

My name is Luis E. Santos. I have several years experience in caring for the elderly. For 7 years, I worked as a special needs caregiver at a private residence taking care of older residents. For the past 3 years, I have worked exclusively in an Elder Care Facility caring for several residents at one time. I have always wanted to open a home of my own but I knew that I wanted to gain as much experience as possible in finding out every detail of this business and how to properly care for residents.
