Oakwood Village University Woods is located on Madison's west side, set on 30 acres that include a nine-acre nature preserve. It is a part of Oakwood Lutheran Senior Ministries, a not-for-profit, Lutheran organization established in 1948. In addition to independent living, short-term rehab and skilled nursing, the University Woods campus offers assisted living in two areas.
Oakwood Village Tabor Oaks Assisted Living is a comfortable community for 60 residents who may need some help with medications, eating a nutritious meal, or help with bathing or dressing.
At Oakwood Village Covenant Oaks, adults with Alzheimer's disease or other types of memory loss live in a community of 40 people.
Both Tabor Oaks and Covenant Oaks residents enjoy an extensive array of both services and activities. Many activities are here on campus, fostering a strong sense of community, and providing residents with holistic care - enhancing the health of the mind, body and spirit. Residents also go on off-campus trips to enjoy Madison and Dane County. We encourage resident independence while being available to support a resident where needed.
