After reading the bill, Don was motivated to lose over 55 pounds, transformed his business model and in the process became an Ironman triathlete.
While reading the landscape in the Affordable Care Act legislation, Canada foresaw big change on the health care delivery system and the impact on health insurance premiums. In 2012, Canada figured out that traditional wellness was not working so he co-created a top-down approach with Shane Corporate Wellness, to specifically assist Executives and HR leaders facilitate meaningful change. In 2013, Canada founded a 501c3 non-profit, Be Healthy Lake Travis, to engage the Lake Travis community by serving as a resource to inspire, connect and education our current and future generations to Be Active. Eat Smart. Be Healthy Lake Travis!
His interests include family time on Lake Travis, volunteering in the community, wing shooting and the triathlete triumvirate: Swim | Bike | Run.
