Dr Hoskins’ clinical focus is on maternal fetal medicine. In 1975, Dr Hoskins earned her medical degree at Dow Medical College, University of Karachi in Karachi, Pakistan. She later came to the United States and pursued postgraduate training, completing a yearlong internship in psychiatry and internal medicine at George Washington University in 1978, followed by a yearlong psychiatry residency at George Washington University and St. Elizabeth’s Hospitals in 1979, and a three-year residency at National Naval Medical Center in 1982.
