Dr. Luke Peterson was born and raised in the Orlando area. His entire family was always very active in competitive sports. While his father was Athletic Director at Lake Brantley High School for over 20 years, Dr. Peterson was a four-sport athlete at Bishop Moore High School. A traumatic event during his freshman year could have been the end to his sports career. However, this event proved to be the opportunity to discover the Power of Chiropractic. While playing varsity Baseball, Luke was struck by a thrown baseball fracturing several places in his face. The surgery was successful but left him with many neurological deficits. By the grace of God, Luke was helped by a Vision Therapist. This same Vision Therapist recommended Luke seek Chiropractic care to fully heal from this head and neck trauma. After a series of adjustments, Luke experienced not only a fully healed spine but also the greatest side effect --no more asthma! For over ten years, Luke suffered from asthma even though he sought care from many specialists and many different medications. He always needed to keep the inhaler nearby. After his first Chiropractic treatment, he excelled in four sports and never needed the inhaler again. After high school, Dr. Peterson earned a scholarship for Swimming and Water Polo at Fordham University, in New York City. During the stress of two sports and Pre-Med studies, Luke ran into another career-threatening problem. Both of his shoulders were requiring surgery to his rotator cuffs. Once again, Chiropractic care stepped up and not only prevented surgery, but also gave Dr. Peterson his final inspiration to pursue a career in Chiropractic. After graduating Cum Laude in a Biology Major, Dr. Peterson attended Life University and Logan College. He received his Doctorate from Logan College in 2004. Since his graduating from Logan College, Dr. Peterson has practiced Chiropractic Medicine in the greater Orlando area. He had his own private practice in Baldwin Park and he dedicated his free time to coaching children in Water Polo and Swimming. He is excited to bring his athletic background and clinical expertise to the all-new Peterson Chiropractic. He looks forward to serving the Maitland community. His goal is help all people receive the highest fulfillment out of a rigorous lifestyle.
