I believe that relationships are powerful and transformative and that therapy is a collaborative endeavor. I use the interaction between myself and my clients to further self-awareness. I have a wide range of psychological training and experience that I use in my work with clients.
Race, culture, class, gender, and sexual orientation are only some of the issues that impact identity and shape how we come to know ourselves. All these aspects of identity impact our relationships. Therapy offers an opportunity to explore these issues and to make connections between our past and current struggles.

Life can be as challenging as it is rewarding. Sometimes the challenges can be hard to face alone and the necessary changes can seem impossible or too scary to imagine. Turning to a therapist when you want to create new ways of being with yourself and with others is an important and courageous step to take. My approach is flexible, active and engaged. I believe we understand ourselves better by understanding our family relationships and history.
