Family Concern Counseling is a group of professionals providing a wide range of counseling and clinical services. We assist adults, premarital and married couples, families, single parents, teens and children in all of life's twists and turns. Family Concern Counseling, in addition, provides psychological assessments and behavior-management services. When things get difficult, you can count on the staff at FCC to show you another way, to teach you new skills and attitudes, and to bring new resources to you. EducationMelissa received her Bachelor’s degree in Sign Language Interpreting from the University of New Mexico and has been a professional sign language interpreter for the past 20 years. She graduated from Liberty University with her masters in professional counseling and began working with Family Concern Counseling as an intern in 2008.
ServicesMelissa believes in combining real life principles and practical insight that help people learn how to cover come obstacles and set backs they may have experienced in their personal lives. She uses a Cognitive Behavioral approach and is a firm believer in how a person thinks is how a person will act. Learning how to change destructive thoughts can be the first step in changing behavior.
