Currently a mobile veterinary service, Dr. Johnson is able to service client’s needs through onboard diagnostic imaging (radiology, ultrasonography), extensive dentistry (restoration, extractions, dental surgery, odontoplasty, floating, etc.), preventive medicine (routine check ups, vaccines, deworming, etc.), coggins and health certificates as well as after hours emergency procedures.
Preventive medicine is the key to a happy, healthy and productive life for your animal. Educating equine owners on the significance of preventive dentistry is important. The reason Dr. Johnson has chosen to focus on dentistry is many equine owners are not aware that the root of several of their animal’s issues stems from problems in the teeth and jaw alignment including colic, weight loss and performance. Taking the necessary steps in the early stages of your equine’s life will help prevent long term and costly problems from occurring.
To make services more affordable many clients like to take advantage of sharing the costs of a house/ranch call by setting up dental and/or routine wellness clinics. By setting up at one destination a multitude of animals can be seen at one time which saves the DVM travel time and client’s money.
Dr. Johnson is available for travel for routine appointments/emergencies in the greater High Desert, including Apple Valley, Hesperia, Oak Hills, Victorville, Lucerne Valley, Summit Valley, Devore, Wrightwood, Pinon Hills, Phelan, Baldy Mesa, Adelanto, El Mirage, Helendale, Barstow, and Newberry Springs, as well as the Big Bear Mountain communities and more. He is also open to traveling for dentistry to anywhere within Southern, Central California and Nevada as the need arises.
