I have seen many different bodywork therapists over the years. I'm quite physical and have had several big injuries such as fractured sacrum, torn labrum, and a lot of muscle/tendon pulls. Because I sit at a computer for work, I have also had painful neck issues and carpal tunnel in both hands. I rate Rebecca Healy as a top therapist. I see her both when I am injured and when I am not, just for feel-good maintenance. What I really like about her: She listens and focuses on what I ask her to. I never feel rushed, she actually goes over time if she is feels she is undoing or getting through (I don't know the language of massage) something in my body and it needs a little more time. Rebecca uses different techniques. The visits aren't the same. She uses rollers and vibration sometimes in addition to hands. Because she has a yoga history and taught for years, she often gives me stretch recommendations or moves my body into a stretch to get into a hard to reach place, like my piriformis. And, she has also recognized when not to touch and actually iced me. She has come to my house, and I visit her in her lovely studio. Overall, top notch. And she has called/messaged to see how I am feeling after a deep session or workin on an injury. If you have had a lot of massage therapy, you will instantly recognize the difference between Rebecca and a lot of other therapists. If you are new to bodywork, you are starting off with the right person!
