I hate to give 1 stars but I feel its important to give others a "heads up"on what happened to me. My issue with this clinic is not so with the Doctors, persay, it is more with the receptionist /the person I just got off the phone with.

Here's my rant:
I was referred to this clinic by a dear friend. I had arranged to get a somewhat pricey procedure done for first thing tomorrow. so I requested extra hours at my job, to get the aloted money needed. In doing so, I inadvertently committed to hours that would be during the vet appointment.
I immediately contacted primary the person doing the procedure, via text, to inform him that I would need to cancel ( I wasn't able to contact the office as it was closed at the time). In my communication, I requested and assumed that the clinic would be informed of my need to cancel.

At 11:17am this morning ( 22hrs17mins before said appointment time), I received a call from the clinic. I apologized for having cancel .... she was apparently *ALREADY AWARE * of my cancelation (above said person, relayed my message). She stated that they had a $50, 24hr cancelation fee, of which I was now responsible.

I do understand that cancelations can cause disruptions and inconvenience for everyone, however, sometimes things happen.

I was and am sincerely apologetic for having to Cancel with short notice, but how I was *treated* was off-putting to say the least.

My issue with Welch Vet Clinic is this:
*PRIOR notice of this policy would have been beneficial.
* It seemed ironic that I was informed of this 24hr cancelation *2hrs past the deadline*.
*It was indicated the clinic was aware of my cancelation before I spoke to them. They were informed by the Attending, whom I had reached out to and informed, via text, as soon as I was made aware of the needed change.
*.... And over-all, forgive me for thinking that if someone, from the very start, states that gathering the required money for the procedure was going to be achievable BUT VERY MUCH A STRUGGLE ..... I think a * DEBATABLE 2hr breach of s 24hr policy, that was *NOT STATED PREVIOUSLY * might be given a little leeway. In this case it certainly was not.

Soooooo all that being said, I'm giving all present and future clients of this, a little heads up. Although Welch Vet Clinic is a "highly regarded" vet clinic. Be aware, They have a very, VERY strict 24 hr cancelation policy (that they don't always inform people about).

Personally, the whole thing has left me with a bad taste in my mouth..... I think I'm going to schedule somewhere else.
