I found them very friendly, caring and capable. I like the way they offer different plans, or pay as you go. They never make me feel pressured to choose care that I cannot afford. Overall, i've been very satisfied.

My best friend of 11 years was being treated for a skin infection by dr. kennedy at the hixson location. she began having some breathing issues and since my hixson location was closed i called gunbarrell for advice. i told them what she was being treated for, meds she was on, and her symptoms. they said they thought it was a reaction to the steroids, i ask if i should stop the meds they said no, continue meds and make an appointment with her reg location in the morning. they at no time indicated she needed to be seen immediately! my location opens at 7 and i was there with peerless at 7 in breathing distress. there was no vet there even though all ads state 7-7 service. the vet tech who was there tried frantically to contact dr kennedy who could not be bothered to answer her phone. peerless passed away in my arms. i was picked up by a family member who then took me home. dr kennedy came into the office at 9am. i am positive she was informed of the trauma that occurred in her absence. she did not even take the time to call me and apologize for her lack of action. after my husband spoke to her banfield now wants to pay for peerless's cremation, autopsy and all related tests. that alone screams guilt, NO ONE is going to give you anything for free. i just wish she had cared SO MUCH when peerless was in distress and needed her.
