Dr. White-Roath has been in private practice in the greater Hartford area since 1999. She earned her Doctorate at Boston University where she had a teaching fellowship. She was awarded a one-year post doctorate fellowship in Early Reading Success at Haskins Laboratories at Yale and has additional post doctoral training is diagnostic testing, reading instruction and assistive technology.
Dr. Mary’s practice is divided between diagnostic testing, direct tutorial services to students and consulting to public and private schools as well as parents. Frequently she does work evaluating and designing instructional programs for students. She specializes in meta-cognitive strategy training and direct individualized instruction in basic skills for students with learning disabilities, attention deficits and spectrum disorders.
