Excellent care Ms. Carino is straightforward, conscientious and very helpful. If you are looking for a therapist who knows the ins and outs of addiction and how it affects the individual, the family and the community, she's the one. She also is a great individual and group therapist for those who do not struggle with addictions. She also works with dual diagnosis. She is accepting, warm, loving, witty, empathic, and firm yet gentle. She also will tell you the truth. I am amazed at her ability to use what I call loving confrontation. Too many therapists just sit and nod today OR they do a behavioral approach which has left me feeling like a non-person, but a "diagnosis". She is dedicated to her profession. She is dedicated to her patients (she saw me on a Sunday when my Mom died!) yet she doesn't "baby" them. It is clear to me that she expects no more of her patients than she does herself. I can tell she has worked on herself. Not an "ivory tower" therapist.
