I hope to never ever have my son hospitalized in this facility again. The care he received was in most cases without compassion. I also observed other patients being ignored as the staff stood around. The rooms are drab and cold. I think this facility should be reviewed by an outside agency and the staff given sensitivity training, from the doctors to the aides. Just looking at the cartoon on the website (whether it was developed by Wellness or by Placerville's Hospital) shows a lack of thought and sensitivity.

If you don't have the appropriate insurance (Medi Cal) or (God-Forbid) you are "private pay," watch out. They will bill exorbitant rates for an merely an assessment. More than a private therapist or even a private psychiatrist for that matter. You won't see it coming, so watch out!
