Dr. Kim's initial training was actually passed down to him by his grandfather(mother's side), who was the latest in a long line of family members who were doctors and acupuncturists. As a child, his older brother was not interested in continuing the tradition, so his mother asked him if he'd like to do some oriental medicine. He accepted and beginning in middle school, his grandfather took him on as an apprentice for over 10 years in South Korea. Dr. Kim is a Licensed Acupuncturist via Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and is nationally certified by the NCCAOM in Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology, and Oriental Medicine.

I went to see Dr.Kim for an eye issue and his knowledge of the inner workings of the body is truly impressive. Unfortunately, My issue was beyond the fix of a series of visits. I was definitely improving, but the cost became prohibitive. As a business owner myself I can't fault the doctor for those cost given the clinic is in The Woodlands and the cost of maintenance and leasing for a property that size is expensive. All that said, I saved quite a bit going to see him vs going to see the "Specialist" I was referred to. Dr.Kim set me on a path of healing, and the specialist wanted me to do a series of test before we could start my path to healing. I will be going back to see Dr Kim, and suggest you do to if you need a good consult.
Dr Kim has been way too aggressive in his needling. Each time i left I was in much more pain than when I went in. After my 3rd session I now have more chronic pain in my neck than before. I was bruised in every area he needled. I specifically told him he was being too aggressive and causing too much pain but iy never affected his treatment. I'm done with him.
