Dr. Burns practices at the renowned Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute, conveniently located at the northwest corner of Central Expressway (75) and Park Lane, across from NorthPark Center. All surgical procedures are conducted in an onsite fully-accredited surgery center, the Dallas Day Surgery Center (which also has a luxury overnight care facility for the convenience of his patients) or at Baylor University Medical Center. In addition, his onsite skin and laser center, EpiCentre Park Lane, offers state of the art skin care and laser rejuvenation procedures including Fraxel, Thermage, Ulthera, Zeltiq, Fotofacial, laser hair removal, and tattoo removal.
Dr. Burns is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and is a Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He is also a member of the Plastic and Craniofacial Institute for Infants and Children at the Children's Medical Center in Dallas, where he treats children with disfiguring birthmarks, hemangiomas, and vascular malformations. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS) and American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS).
Dr. Burns was raised in Dallas and graduated from Highland Park High School. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Burns completed his medical training at the University of Texas Medical Branch, graduating summa cum laude from the research honors program. He stayed at the University of Texas Medical Branch where he completed a residency in Plastic Surgery. Dr Burns completed a fellowship in laser surgery at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center under the direction of his current partners Drs. A. Jay Burns and Rod J. Rohrich. His leadership in the field is evidenced by the numerous peer reviewed articles and book chapters he has published on the subject of plastic surgery.
