Took daughter for eye exam and glasses. The doctor called a growth on her eye a wart when it was actually a Chalazion diagnosed by a pediatric ophthalmologist and required removal. Decided not to go back. The selection of glasses were nice.
I visited this location in January 2010 and paid $500.00 for a pair of Progressive lens glasses. When I received the glasses, I immediately stated that something was wrong. The receptionist/assistant told me that with Progressive lens, it could take me over a week to get used to change and I accepted that and left. I visited again a couple of weeks later because I just couldn’t see right out of them. The receptionist/assistant made an adjustment for how the glasses fit my head and told me that I would get used to them that it would just take time. I never did. I finally stopped trying and after reading all types of reviews about the progressive lens thought that maybe I was one of the few people that just couldn’t wear them. I recently went to another eye doctor to have my vision tested again. On this visit it was determined that the prescription for my glasses purchased at Visionary Eye Care was completely wrong. The prescription for my right eye was +0.50 and it should have been -0.25. They had my reading prescription at +1.75 and it should have been +1.50. I visited Visionary Eye Care and explained the problem and requested that they replace the lens at no cost to me and they refused. I would recommend that you find another eye doctor to do business with. They make serious mistakes and they refuse to do the right thing and fix it. This was a total waste of $500.00.
