The Family Counseling Center has teamed with the Area Agency on Aging to assure appropriate services are available to clients in a timely manner. FCC has gratuitously been the administrator of the PICE grant for nearly 30 years.
The Family Counseling Center is prepared to support families through the entire process of adoption, from assisting in determining the qualities of a child that will best fit the family to providing post-placement visits and family therapy to aid in the adjustment of growing and changing families.
We are determined to accurately reflect the personalities values and aspirations for families during the home studies process. This enables child placement agencies the ability to find the child that best suits a family. The home study process aids families in exploring feelings that they and the adopted child may expect after placement.
As a social work agency FCC is dedicated in assisting families in identifying local resources that are available to address a variety of present and future issues. FCC conducts post-placement visits and is experienced at providing counseling, if needed, to aid in the adjustment of a growing family.
