Counselor blatantly violated signed agreement and policy that stated the therapist will not be involved in evaluating or mediating or making recommendations concerning custody and visitation issues; as counselor DID make a very biased recommendation in a child custody evaluation to the Child Custody Evaluator (who also coincidentally worked for Wellspring). Child states they reported abuse by the parent to the counselor and was told there was nothing counselor could do to help them; though the same signed policy referenced above states should the child disclose information that would indicate neglect or abuse the therapist has a professional and legal obligation to report neglect or abuse to the appropriate legal authority. Child states almost everything they confided in counselor was repeated to the parent and child was reprimanded almost immediately after every visit for statements child thought was confidential between child and counselor. Child states they will never tell the counselor anything else, though the parent continues to make the child go to the counselor (has been going for over 2 years). The abuse of the child was ultimately reported, though not by Wellspring, and is now under investigation by Child Protective Services. The Wellspring counselor still continues to see the child though the child states nothing will ever be told to the counselor again.
