In 2023, I hired J. Leahy Construction Inc. for deck and roof repairs. Contrarily, the contractor, Jake Leahy, broke into our home, causing extensive damage by demolishing bathrooms, ruining floors, and tearing down walls. This occurred during winter, exacerbating the situation.

We reported this to Tacoma Police and discovered Leahy had an extensive criminal history and actively takes advantage of seniorcitizens. Despite providing all necessary evidence to State Farm Insurance, our claim was repeatedly denied. The lack of empathy and professionalism from the agent, Brian Davenny's office, was startling. A particularly insensitive comment from an employee about the destruction added to our distress.

The damage led us to sell our home for hundreds of thousands less than its value and rent elsewhere, derailing my retirement plans. The legal pursuit for justice is hindered by pandemic-related delays, and it seems State Farm is taking advantage of this, neglecting their duty to a senior citizen.

I advise others to choose an insurance provider that genuinely supports its clients during crises.
