The Alliance is a regional non-profit health plan, established in 1996, with over 12 years of successful operation. Using the State’s preferred County Organized Health System (COHS) model, we currently serve over 188,000 members in Santa Cruz, Monterey and Merced counties, in partnership with contracted providers to promote prevention, early detection and improve access to quality healthcare for those we serve. This results in the delivery of innovative community-based healthcare services, better medical outcomes and cost savings. The Alliance operates with shared governance and local representation from each county on our Board of Directors. The Alliance began serving members in Merced County on October 1, 2009.
