Tried to screw my family out of money that was owed. After months of wasting time and providing a low ball offer for an accident their driver caused. We went to small claims court and won. So are you in good hands? god no. I talked to many individuals in various departments and they are said something different every time. But after the headache, something that would have cost them $6500 for damage to both vehicles now cost them around $10-$12,000 including their legal fees. I'm perfectly fine with wasting their time and money, just like they wasted my time. File complaints with the state as well (Division of Banking and insurance (DOBI)). Make their life difficult like they do to you. If you have a police report in your favor and do not have first party coverage, take them to court. I spoke to other insurance adjusters from other companies and even they were like this is petty for them to do. NJ small claims court has a $3,000 limit. I went through arbitration and the Allstate appeals process before filing a claim with Small Claims court. Be prepared for court, submit pictures, accident reports, insurance letters to the judge to review ahead of time.
