This is a battered women home. The VA set it up to where me and my son was accepted to stay there. When I was pulling my son out of school, the school also called Rebecca's house to reassure we had somewhere to stay. Rebecca's house answer the phone and said yes. So my son and I headed to Biloxi. The whole way there I kept calling Rebecca's house and got no answer. I had the address from the VA representative. So after countless calling and no answer. I had nowhere to go so I just pulled up to Rebecca's house in the open parking lot next door. A lady came out and was very hostile and told me to leave. She asked me how I got the address. She said no one should have the address. She said this is not how we do it we usually meet you somewhere else like McDonald's to fill out an application. Mind you there was no one living in the house it's time. No other battered women. What she was saying that means doing the address could put someone at risk. I asked her could we go to McDonald's or somewhere to fill out application. She said no I was not welcome there. She told me to get off the property or she was going to call the cops on me. And she said she's going to call the cops and say that I have my child out of school. But my son has never missed a day of school, I had just withdrew him from his school 2 hours prior to arriving to Rebecca's house. She told me that we cannot live there if my child is not enrolled in school. I asked her how can I enroll him in school down in Biloxi if I don't have an address. I ask to speak to a manager or the owner. She said they don't have one she's over the program. But she lied because she went inside the house and came back outside with the phone and handed it to me. Whoever was on other line also threatened to call the cops if I did not get off the property. Second worse day of my life. I end up getting in contact with the previous owner of Rebecca's house. She told me that she no longer owned it and she's been going through a lawsuit with them for years about changing the name.
