When my elderly mother tripped and fell at home, I had 911 take her to Methodist ER where we were both traumatized by the unprofessional behavior of one of the nurses. She accused me of elder abuse, then scolded me like I was a child (when I am at least 20 years her senior), and lied to me when I confronted her about her hostile behavior. She was not wearing a badge that was visible, so I was unable to get her name. Suffice it to say, I will never return to this hospital's Emergency Dept., and would strongly advise that no one else do so, either. It's traumatic enough having to visit an ER without having to contend with offensive behavior from the very people we go to for help at a difficult time.
