We have used Dr. Pease's housecall services twice and were extremely pleased with his professionalism and willingness to accommodate our rather unique situation. We use Hilo to make landfall from French Polynesia on our sailboat. To import our cat to HI using the 5-Day-Or-Less Quarantine program we have to have a health certificate issued before we can call someone from Animal Quarantine to inspect our cat.

Dr. Pease is very responsive to our emails when we're at sea. We give him an estimated time of arrival, and he comes right to our boat in Radio Bay (not an easy thing to do!). On his first visit with us I was amazed at how much time he spent answering all the questions we'd never been able to ask in our broken Spanish or French (we adopted our cat in Baja and this was our first visit with a U.S. - English speaking - vet). Dr. Pease was also helpful in helping us build our ship's first-aid kit for our cat.

We are looking forward to our next visit to Hilo and will be sure to give APMVC a call when we arrive!

Office was pet friendly and organized. They've answered a couple of my questions over the phone, but most of the time I have to schedule an appointment. They were ready to see me when I showed up for my appointment. I never had to wait for them to show up. They fully explained my pet's condition. When I left I knew exactly what my pet has and what treatments are available.
