The Lancaster Small Animal Hospital is an AAHA-Accredited Buffalo vet practice whose mission is to provide all your pets with state-of-the-art veterinary health care so that you may enjoy the optimum pet and companion experience with peace of mind.
In addition to the traditional small animal practice, which services dogs and cats, we have an exotic pets veterinarian who cares for many species including, but not limited to, small mammals, parrots, lizards, snakes, turtles, tortoises, rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, and chinchillas! We provide wellness and preventative care, as well as diagnostics and surgery. Another feature that sets us apart from other local veterinarians is that our holistic veterinarian often treats exotic pets as well. We are one of the few Buffalo vet hospitals with the knowledge and experience to meet the special needs of these unique animals. We would love to be your exotic pets veterinarian!

I’ve lived in several different parts of the country, from the Southeast to the Pacific Northwest, have worked in rescue, at shelters and had 7 cats at one time, but never have I had an experience with a vet like I did with Dr. Kimberly Dusza. I was dawn there by the “holistic” claims, but that is a marketing ploy to get more money out of you. Every time my cat saw her she wanted me to spend another $300-$700, and didn’t even present the recommended charges to me herself, sent her techs in to get me to sign off, and when I questioned the necessity of what they wanted to do they acted like I was difficult. All vets are getting expensive, but you can find others who won’t push things that aren’t needed or overcharge for what is. She also ear crops and tails docks – procedures many vets refuse to do because it’s an unnecessary mutilation -but I don’t think anything that makes her money gets refused. So if you’re looking for somewhere that’s reasonably priced, not high-pressure and truly holistic, look elsewhere.
In my opinion, Dr. Dusza is more interested in making money than taking care of people's animals. Everytime I visit the office, she is in and out of the room in a few minutes and regardless if my pet has a problem or feels well she orders the same tests every time and the bill is always astronomical. The place has really gone downhill with the new management. I would not bring your animal here if you care about it.
