I have never been more traumatized by a vet visit in my life, not to say the least of my dog who was the one receiving the treatment. I would not be surprised if this scars him from vet's for the rest of his life. I NEVER NEVER will go to this place again and regret ever taking my dog here. Dr. Weingartner is a cruel man and should never be allowed another f**king animal in his life. I went to him for my puppies last check up and round of vaccinations. He had been biting when I reached under his stomach, and I was unsure if it was behavioral or if there was something wrong with him. I mentioned it during our check up and they put a muzzle on him for precaution prior to the exam. He was rough with an already scared puppy. He got down in my dogs face and aggressively and loudly yelled "NO!!" while pulling at the scruff of his neck. This ramped up my already nervous puppy and made him even more on edge. While palpitating his stomach my puppy growled when he reached a certain spot. Instead of further examining him, he responded in kind again aggressively yelling in my dog's face. When it came time to give him his vaccine, the lab tech pressed my dog firmly against his body while he squirmed. Not once, attempting to calm or sooth my dog. When Dr. Weingartner then went to give him his shots, my dog was squealing and flipping out. His muzzle came off and he bit the lab tech. In response, Dr. Weingartner picked my dog up by his harness, and continued to yell in his face aggressively. He then said, "Get this dog out of here! I don't want to see this dog! NO!" He was aggressive and severely unprofessional. While I know that my dog was having some aggression issues surrounding his belly area (of which I am still not sure if it is medical) this is in no way a proper reaction or appropriate reaction for an anxious puppy. We have been to Banfield two other times and Scottie never bit or acted aggressively once. If I can give this man less than a star I would. I can never take back this utterly traumatizing experience for myself and the dog.
