Whether you are in need of routine preventive health care, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, or that unexpected emergency, our doctors and health care team will strive to provide you and your pet with the best and friendliest Veterinary Experience possible.
Temperance Animal Hospital was established in February of 1978 by Dr. Earl Cornprobst and his wife, Cheri. The property was originally a gas station but the Cornprobsts saw its potential to be a staple of the community for animal care. They turned the facility into a one doctor practice and over the following 27 years grew it in size, standard and abilities. Adding two more owners in 2001, Dr. Christine Ravary and Penny Mitchell worked together with the Cornprobsts for several years. In 2010, Dr. Todd Smith completed his transition as the third of the current owners when the Cornprobsts moved on to other adventures. Together the three have continued to mold T.A.H. into a modern, full service animal hospital that reaches beyond it's doors into the community whenever possible. The facility has undergone three renovations over the past 30 years - expanding from a two-room hospital into an eight-room hospital with a fully equipped surgical room, dental suite, radiograph room and ultrasound room. Originally a staff of two, T.A.H. now has more than 30 health care team members with six veterinarians. Many of our employees and doctors are from this community and have chosen to serve the pets and people of the place they call "home."
