Leach Animal Hospital seems to care more about their patients than most animal hospitals, always calling the dogs by name when its their turn. The Technicians, a very important part of a well working Team which makes an Animal Hospital rate high with me, also take a minute to introduce themselves to the dogs before beginning their exams. They go out of their way to perform required tests with as little discomfort to the dog as possible-even if it means the Tech must sit on the floor.
My dog got an appointment quickly for an emergency, and was seen immediately. We usually get appointments for routine work quickly and do not wait long. I feel confident that the staff takes great care of my pets and all who work at Dr. Leach's seem to really love animals and try to make all the pets (and their people!) feel as safe and comfortable as possible.

I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to a problem that may crop up with one of our many horses and dogs. Although each vet at Leach Animal Hospital is talented, they are not even the slightest bit arrogant, and I'm confident they will always have my animals best interest at heart-first and foremost.
Another thing I noticed about this clean, well kept animal hospital was the level of detail and attention to make the building handicap-accessible. This has become especially important to me after an injury landed me in a wheelchair for the past 10 years, with my wonderful service dog, Emma always by my side.
Even the bathrooms were designed to be accessible for those using wheelchairs & walkers, with doors wide enough to accommodate wheelchairs-and a service dog, and with well placed grab bars. You could tell they really made an effort to accommodate people with all different needs.
Dr. Leach and his Team,of Associates, Technicians, and those who answer the phone really do go above and beyond the norm to make all feel as though they are a top priority-and when an animal is ill and in need of a vet, that is exactly what we all want to hear.


We have been breeding World Champion Appaloosa Horses since 1979 and Dr. Leach has been our veterinarian since he began practicing on Cape Cod, following in his father's footsteps who was also a Veterinarian since 1933.. The stall side manner of Dr. Leach is second only to his skill as a large animal veterinarian.

The girls at Leach Animal Hospital are more than amazing!! I have a 100lb dog who is, to say the least, VERY difficult to have at the vet. To sum it up quickly....professional, overly compassionate, caring and professional. I truly cannot thank them enough for the way they treated my dog with respect, as well as myself. If I could rate 7 stars, I would!
