Setting up the initial consultation was simple enough and the instructions/what to expect were clear. At our appointment, Carolyn told us that she would provide us with copies of the documents we signed. I figured it would be blank copies, but when we didn't receive them at the end of the session I thought she would email us copies of the actual signed documents. She also told my husband that she could provide him with the necessary documentation in order to file a claim with our insurance company. While we liked Carolyn, we decided not to pursue counseling and canceled our next appointment in a timely manner. My husband emailed her 2 weeks after our appointment to check on the status of the promised documents and was told she was on vacation but would send them when she got back. Fast forward another week and my husband had to follow-up with her again. We finally received the invoice for insurance but not copies of the materials we had signed. She said she couldn't send them but could give us a copy at our next appointment. Seeing that we won't be returning, that seems a bit hard to do ... All in all, I'm happy we decided not to pursue therapy with Carolyn. She's been very difficult to work with these past few weeks over simple matters that should have been resolved early on. I can only assume it's because we decided not to pursue counseling with her ... either way, I find it to be very unprofessional.
