About
NeuroMuscular Junction Wellness Center, CNMT, CMFT, CMT
The NeuroMuscular Junction Wellness Center uses Out-Side-The-Medical-Box wellness & rehabilitation approaches to facilitate healing of the body which works as ONE UNIT and NOT in Isolation! Our main approach is Neuro- Muscular Manual Therapy which follows Neurological & Physiological Laws, and applies therapy through assessments of health history, lifestyle, posture assessment, biomechanical assessment, VERY SPECIFIC soft tissue manipulation to the muscle fibers, tendons, muscle attachment points, ligaments & the connective tissue called Fascia. We also apply Body Awareness Education, Movement Therapy, Active Isolated Stretching & Strengthening Protocols.
Although we encourage you to try us out before trying pain-relieving drugs, and unnecessary surgery, people usually call us up when other forms of treatment have failed to give them relief! By treating the body as a functional unit we are able to treat symptoms that have eluded other well qualified health professionals.
NMT is a thorough program of recovery from acute and chronic pain syndromes which utilizes specific massage therapy, flexibility stretching, and home care to eliminate the causes of most neuromuscular pain patterns. This specific and scientific approach to muscular pain relief will help to bring about balance between the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. NMT enhances the function of joints, muscles and biomechanics (movement) and it releases endorphins, the body's own natural pain killers. It can be part of a comprehensive program, complementing all other health care modalities.
Neuromuscular Therapy examines six physiological factors
that may create or intensify pain patterns.
These six factors are:
1. Ischemia
2. Trigger Points
3. Nerve Entrapment/Compression
4. Postural Distortions
5. Nutrition
6. Emotional Wellbeing
