DRIVE THE EXTRA MILE FOR BETTER SERVICE. Silver Cross has been the worst experience that I have ever had. I am a mother of two and my youngest daughter (2 years old) along with my nephew (2 years old) found a prescription pill bottle in my sister’s purse and took it out without us seeing it. Within 10 mins from the time we got home the kids took the bottle and came by to show us the empty bottle. Immediately we saw that their tongues were white. We rushed them to Silver Cross knowing that it was the closest location at 4.1 miles away. Instead of rushing my daughter into the emergency room to try and stop the absorption of the drugs, they wanted us to sit in triage to discuss the issue. Once my daughter started vomiting all over herself, they then decide to rush her into a room. It took approximately 15 mins before a doctor came in and gave us diluted charcoal for her to drink. Instead of them administering the medicine to my daughter, they made us the parents try to make her drink it and they left. (Mind you I'm paying a premium price for ER service and have a very good plan). Highly recommend that anyone wanting to visit Silver Cross think twice before going and drive the extra mile or two to go to a highly qualified and reputable hospital that respects their patients and provide adequate care to you and your children
