I do my best work when I can work collaboratively with my clients. I am an active therapist who challenges, provides encouragement and empathy along with gentle nudging when appropriate. You can choose to get unstuck and commit to learning and using healthier ways of coping. These new coping skills can help decrease stress allowing you to make the changes you've been putting off. Learning to tolerate intense and uncomfortable feelings, rather than avoiding them, can give you confidence in your ability to face the world and the many challenges that living a fuller life offers.
My style of therapy helps people become more aware of their genuine self, not the self that many were told they should be. Discovering who you are, and just as important, who you are not, gives you choices to make sound decisions, leading to a greater sense of overall wellbeing.
With 18 years in private practice, I enjoy working with adults and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, grief, and aging parents. A specialty niche is perinatal grief, miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant death. Infertility issues and fears of subsequent pregnancies is also an area in which I have lengthy experience.

Maybe she finally grew balls, dropped me like a hot potato when I was in crisis. Saw her weekly for over a year, was having SI and was admitted for a 14 day stint. She gave up on me, did not find out she dropped me until 5 days after admission.
Engaged and empathetic provider who truly listens and works collaboratively to encourage growth and change. Challenges when needed, but always supports.
