Dr. Avrunin is a great family doctor. He takes the time to get to know his patients which is not just friendly but important to help understand what psychological motivations might be affecting a patient, for example I remember the first visit he noted on my patient form that I was divorced and asked how I was doing with that. He does a great job explaining treatment options and seems very knowledgeable on a range of issues -- I notice his patients range in age and I have been there for sports related injuries which he clearly has some experience with and can handle very competently. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I've always gotten an appointment within an appropriate time frame. I've never had an emergency but have had an urgent issue. They were able to get me in the next day even though normally they are a week or two booked out. Getting blood work or other paper work faxed is always handled promptly. This is what primary care should be about. I plan to keep Dr Avrunin's practice as my primary care indefinitely.

I enjoy seeing and meeting with Dr. Avrunin and his staff. They're caring, knowledgeable and efficient, and everyone has a darned good sense of humor. I've learned to take the good doctor's advice in most all medical matters, with excellent results and over many years.
