About
Stacey Wyner, FNP
Stacey Wyner, APRN, has been practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in a medical office setting since 1996. During that time, her practice has focused on primary care with an emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention, health education, and counseling. Stacey enjoys both helping to aid her patients in healing what ails them and providing them with the knowledge they need to remain healthy.
Stacey graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) and from Sacred Heart University with a Masters of Science degree in Nursing with a concentration in family medicine. She is Board Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC, http://www.nursecredentialing.org) and licensed in both Connecticut and Pennsylvania. In addition to her experience working in a family practice, Stacey has experience as a Camp Nurse, where she is responsible for health care, including routine medical care, sick visits, first aid, medicine and prescription management, and emergency treatment for over 250 campers and staff.
Throughout her career, Stacey has placed an emphasis on getting to know her patients. By not rushing office visits, carefully listening to each patient, and respecting each client and their personal approach to healthcare, she has been able to provide a positive healthcare experience for many patients. This approach to care allows her to develop relationships with patients and create an environment receptive to education on nutrition, exercise, and healthy life choices to generally improve patient’s health and well being. Education of patients focuses not only on preventative care, but also on teaching the chronically ill self-care, with a specific focus on those with asthma, allergies, diabetes, and obesity. As a nurse practitioner, Stacey is specially trained to treat the patient, not just the illness.
In addition to providing direct-care, Stacey acts as a patient’s guide through what can be a complicated health care system. When care is needed from medical specialists, patients are often looking for a primary contact to turn to for education, counseling and support, and guidance.
