My Husband went to the hospital last Thursday with a boxers fracture he was referred to Dr Palesch, He was so rude and rough he called my husband stupid at least three times during the appointment. He then put on a sorry excuse for a cast, he put it on then rebroke my husbands fingers so it dried way to tight and smashed into his hand and he put no padding between the cast and his skin and left all kinds of sharp edges that are digging into his hand and rubbing it raw to the point of bleeding, plus he didnt even stabalize his fingers that are broken they are just out in the open swelling up huge and going numb. So we went back to the hospital and they would not take it off so now we have to go to our family dr and then get a referral to a new orthopedic Dr.

my daughter fell and broke her arm, about an inch above her wrist, both bones in her arm. i too her to our local ER and was referred to Palesch as the orothopedic specialist to "Cast her arm". I got to the office and was called back right away, the receptionist was very nice. once seen by the doctor, he was very blunt and demanding. my daughter is 8 so she needs to be spoken to by a doctor in laymans terms, he felt her fingers and asked her if they felt "normal". Normal to an 8 year old who has been in a splint for a week is different than a kid that has not, any slight pain or tingling becomes normal at that point. he didn't trust her "I think so" answer, so he pulled out a safety pin attatched to his keychain out of his pocket, did not sterelize the sharp tip and started stabbing her fingers asking if it was sharp or not. Granted i understand the concept, for feeling, but if he has been a doctor for over 40 years, he can afford the proper utinsels. he then refused to remove the soft splint that was very loosely put on her arm to allow for swelling and told her that she had to wear it for the next 6 weeks. I had advised him that she is a very active 8 year old and she needs a hard cast. he absolutely refused the casting and told me that every 8 year old is active and he will not put on the cast. If you are referred to this so called "Doctor" refuse and ask for someone who actually cares for their patients and wants to ensure their safety and health!
