ServicesDr. Steele is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He offers psychiatric evaluation, individual psychotherapy, and assessment and management of psychotropic medication. Dr. Steele has published extensively in the areas of psychopharmacology, psychotherapy education, medical education, and psychological adaptation to chronic illness. He received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, served an internship in Medicine at Case-Western Reserve, and was Resident and Chief Resident in Psychiatry at the Stanford University Medical Center, Stanford, California. He fulfilled his military obligation in the Public Health Service at NIH, and holds an MPH degree from the Johns Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health. Following residency he was an Assistant and then Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Yale University School of Medicine, and then Associate Professor, Professor, and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina.
