His research interests are focused on surgical outcomes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Notable publications include randomized trials on mechanical bowel preparation before laparoscopic hysterectomy and on salpingectomy at the time of hysterectomy, and a decision analysis comparing abdominal hysterectomy to laparoscopic hysterectomy with morcellation for uterine fibroids.
