The dentist took care of an emergency situation (although a piece of dental quipment broke off inside my canal, requiring referral to an endodontist - could ahve happened to any dentist, I suppose), but the new patient followup visit was awful. The dental assistant who "cleaned" my teeth used no tools other than the polisher and she applied this for long enough periods of time that the friction caused my teeth to become uncomfortably warm/hot. After that visit, I read online that this kind of friction can actually damage teeth. Never went back.
