Dr. Margherio specializes in all aspects of vitreoretinal disease. He has a special interest in vitreoretinal complications of cataract surgery, retinal detachment, age-related macular degeneration, ocular photodynamic therapy, subfoveal surgery, and diabetic retinopathy. He has authored several papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and has spoken at numerous national and international ophthalmologic meetings. He is actively involved in clinical research and continues to contribute to the medical literature.
I would not recommend Dr. Margherio after my experience with him. He is very resistant to answering any questions. Every time after leaving his office I leave more stressed (which not good for the healing proses) than when I arrived. He avoids answering any questions, acts as if we are an annoyance to him, and shows zero compassion or care for his patients and their families. I wouldn't hesitate to say he is defiantly one of those doctors who are only in it for the money.
