Dr. Gilson is incredible. He is extremely thorough and answers every question promptly. I have been seeing him for years and he is a true professional. I recommend his practice to anyone seeking pulmonology assistance. His new office is great!!
Dr Gilson is an incredible doctor and I have nothing but great things to say about him. I often refer others to him due to his thoroughness and professionalism. That said, if you can make it past the office staff, you are home free. The office staff is consistently rude, unprofessional, condescending and difficult to deal with. I continue to see this provider only because he is so good at what he does. The office staff are catty and backbiting amongst themselves, talking about personal business and sniping at each other loudly enough for all to hear in the waiting room. The negativity is palpable. It's not just a passing phase, it's been consistent over many years. I'm not sure if the doctors are aware of what goes on in the front end of their business (they should send people they know in to pose as patients to give them an idea of what it's like), but it's a true shame that this is the one aspect that I dread most about going to this practice. I've had other friends express the same sentiments. They only go there for Gilson and should he ever leave, so will they. I've never seen anything like this at any other practice. From the time you make an appointment, through check-in/paperwork, to paying your bill - it' s just one big negative experience (except the actual time spent with Dr. Gilson). Highest marks for Dr. Gilson and there's not a scale low enough to mark what it's like to deal with the staff.
