I suggest to anyone that is thinking about going to Tri Creek Family Dentistry in Lowell, IN to use Dr. Conaway (It is his business and he is the only dentist there) RUN as fast as you can to another dentist.
I went to see him and he said I needed to go to an oral surgeon to have a root canal on an upper back molar. I asked if he could just pull it because I didn't want to do a root canal. He said sure he could do that. I went there and had it pulled. After a week it was still bleeding and I was in terrible pain. Could not even touch the area there. From what I read on the internet I should not have been having those problems. Everyone said after about four days of having a tooth pulled they were fine unless there were problems or issues with it. I went back to him on the 8th day and he was VERY rude and short with me. He pushed on the sore areas around there and told me the sharp large piece of bone sticking through the gum rubbing my cheek was my jaw. He said to keep taking the prescription pain killers he gave me. I have NEVER taken pain killers for over a week even after major surgery. But, for a simple tooth being pulled I was still taking meds?! Crazy. I made an appointment with another dentist and was going to see him and have him help me. Before I got in a for an appointment with another dentist I had THREE pieces of sharp bone come out of my gum between where the tooth would have been and the tooth in front of it. THEN finally the large sharp piece of bones came out almost a MONTH to the day I had it pulled by Dr. Conaway. So they were out just days before I was getting in to the new dentist. Dr. Conaway was rude and uncaring when I went there. It was obvious there was a problem or I should NEVER have still been in that much pain. Those smaller shards of bone were like splinters in my gum. When you touch a splinter it hurts if it moves. I had shards of bone doing the same thing. I believe he doesn't have a lot of experience or just doesn't care. Either way, I am never going back. Of course he did the 400.00 or however many dollars of digital x-rays first and now that I want those emailed over to another dentist he wants to charge me a fee. Geez, even Doctors don't do that when your charts are going to another Dr. Sounds like a sore loser to me. Sad part is.....I was warned not to go there..............
