Dr. Chen delivered all 3 of my children naturally. Our first son was medically complicated, so she teamed with our perinatologist to provide both me and my son the best medical care possible. My other two children developed normally, but I still felt the same sense of involvement. During each delivery, she literally held a washcloth on my face and my puke bucket when I was nauseated. I work at Lutheran General and have exposure to many different physicians. I often call the office with questions and she personally calls me back. I feel completely comfortable approaching her with any question or concern. She is never in a hurry to run out of the room. I recommend her highly!

Consider yourself lucky to have Alice Chen as your doctor. I was looking for a new OBGYN in 2005, she was recommended to me by several ER nurses at Lutheran General. She has the perfect blend of being personal and professional in her treatments. She has delivered both of my children. My first an emergency C-Section, my second was a C-Section by choice. She is an amazing surgeon, which is exactly what I want when the chips are down and you are in a critical situation. I can't thank the ER nurses enough for their recommendation of her.
