I have a multitude of physical problems, diseases, and have an extensive list of medications. I am very difficult to treat for even the simplest of ailments.
Persoonally, I have always been a bit gun-shy about physicians in general. A few tend to treat the disease, not the person, and I feel like I am a specimen in a Petri dish at times.
I have been going to Dr. Newman for a few years now and he has gained my total trust and admiration. At the best of times, I am not a good patient, well, let alone, when I am in the worst of it. I really try to keep my chin up and bear it all with a smile, but, when I am pain-wracked, well...I am not unlike a bear sow protecting her cub.
He LISTENS, is THOROUGH, he is ATTENTIVE, he is INFORMATIVE, is UPFRONT, but most of all he CARES about his patients, and goes the EXTRA MILE! Espceially with his hard cases, like me. I can ask him any question and I get my answers promptly. If I ever really needed his assistance, he is always there for me. He is like that for all of his patients!
His staff is exempelry! I usually deal with his secretary Martha and his nurse Karen, who have always treated me with kindness, courtesy, and respect, even though I am short with them at times, like I am with everyone else. They are the backbone of the great service that Dr. Newman provides for his patients and are a great asset to the practice. Whenever I needed something, they respond promptly and efficiently, despite being very busy at their duties.
I can rest assured that I, a Nutcracker Esophegeal patient, and my husband, who has Ulcerative Colitis, are in Dr. Newman's very capable hands. When my husband's gastroenterologist retired, I suggested that he see Dr. Newman. If I trust him to handle my husband's case, I am confident to recommend Dr. Newman to everyone I come in contact with!
Thanks for "listening"!
