Dr. Maddox has over 25 years experience as an orthopedic surgeon and is board certified with Fellowship training in sports medicine. He has been a team physician and consultant for numerous high school, college and professional teams including hockey, baseball and football.

He has extensive experience in arthroscopic procedures for the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle. This includes arthritis and cartilage issues such as knee replacement, cartilage transplant and treatment for articular cartilage loss or disorders. Joint replacement and partial knee replacement with computer assistance (Makoplasty and Trumatch) is available when indicated. He also treats many common orthopedic conditions including sprains, strains and fractures in athletes and non-athletes as well as work related injuries.

Called to make an appointment dr was listed as an in network provider. So I call to make an appointment to be tod he's not in network doesn't accept. Not good

Dr Maddox saw my son quickly and was thorough. They did in-office x-rays and provided an initial diagnosis. Within 24 hours we were seen by the PT group and the MRI was scheduled.

For his physical therapy. His office provided a referral that is out of network . The group agreed to accept the in-network co-pay as the full payment. For clarity, the referral was provided to enhance coordination between my son's school and the care he was receiving. Dr Maddox is the football team physician for Mountain Ridge HIgh School. The PT office employs the school team Athletic Trainer, so the care is well coordinated between Dr, PT, and the school.

For his MRI. His office sent the prescription to an in-network provider that bills as outpatient, which would have cost hundreds of dollars instead of an office visit co-pay. I requested that they send the script to an alternate group that bills as an office visit..
