I was seen be a NP named Maria, she was friendly and explained why I was having such painful stomach problems.
She diagnosed me with IBS because I have been battling with chronic constipation for a couple of years, and did not find any comfort by trying almost every over counter medication that none offered any relief. I was spending about a hundred dollars a month for these remedies.
She then prescribed two medications, and when my pharmacist tried to fill them the doctor's office refused to release them. I have attempted to contact office on more than six or seven times looking for answers but all my attempts failed and my messages were never returned. additionally, on some occasions when I did speak to staff, I was treated very rudely and
dismissive and I was told that Maria will not allow RX's to be filled without any plausible explanation.
I have attempted to make an appointment for follow up visit with Maria in person for some clarification then I was told I have to wait about three months for authorization from LA Care.
I am 59 years old and have had many interactions with doctors but this one kept me reeling and wondering WHY?
I am very disappointed in this doctor, and asked myself where is the compassion? I thought Doctors mission is relieve patients from pain and suffering, unfortunately this experience have left me in pain and suffering.

They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. They keep the restrooms well-stocked here, and not just with the basics. There is mouthwash, lotion and other amenities. You can tell they want their clients to be as comfortable as possible. And Dr. Maria is the best doctor in the world!
