My experience with Dr. Ellerkmann was brief but extremely memorable and pleasant. Never thought surgery could be an enjoyable experience, however a knowledgable and experienced practitioner combined with staff of the same caliber does make a normally frightening and unfamiliar experience tolerable. This also speeds recovery time with the effect of successful surgery and return to normal healthy state. Dr. Ellerkman skillfully consulted with me explaining all the details of the surgery from beginning to end. He prepared me with pre-testing that was important to a successful quick and full recovery. The day of surgery he stayed by my side until I was under anesthesia completely (his face was the face I saw going under and waking up). He comforted me until I was completely under continuing to talk to me saying "I will take good care of you and be right here the entire procedure". He stroked my arm the entire time going under. My follow-up was just as impressive, thorough and speedy with-out complications. Fortunately, I was able to return to work sooner than expected (bittersweet). I am 4 years out from surgery and have not experienced any problems, enjoying a full recovery and healthy lifestyle. Thank you Dr. Mark Ellerkmann and supporting staff.
