Dr. James Chabala earned his medical degree in 1973 from the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine in his hometown of Maywood, Illinois. He completed his Family Practice internship and residency at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Camp Pendleton, California. He is a U.S. Navy (Ret.) Captain with seven years of active duty and fifteen years of active reserve duty. Dr. Chabala is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. He is active in local and civic groups including the Oceanside Pacific Kiwanis Club, the Scottish Knights Templar, and the San Diego Scottish Society.

Dr James Chabala a major jerk. My wife left her appointment in tears. She has a certified heart conditioin and was told it was 'in her head'. If you care about an accurate diagnosis and a caring doctor, then see someone else. If you stop loving what you do...time to retire.

They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left. They always take the time to listen to me. I know they really care about me and what I have to say. They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous.
