On 6-10-09, after being a cooperative patient of this clinic since the late 1980's, their newest so-called physician dismissed me without referral to another Dr. Her repeated reason was that "we have just never clicked." This came w/o clue at my first visit following two major neuro-orthopedic surgeries to the spine in my neck (brain stem). Though my orthopedic surgeon Rx appropriate pain medication, two weeks after surgery was very painful to ambulate to this clinic. Dr. Kathleen David did not inquire of me how I was feeling. With a big grin on her face, she informed me that she was dismissing me w/o referral to another physician. She accused me of petty, disrespectful behavior, which was never the case. She did not point to any specific incident, nor an incident which she directly experienced with me. As she fidgeted on the exam table's paper, she stated "Not 30 seconds ago I heard you call (nurse) Julie a B-I-T-C-H." When my nurse escort exclaimed that I did no such thing, Dr. David made a hand gesture about her own head, stating, "Well maybe, uh, it's my hearing, ya know. When I attempted to say that I did not know, Dr. David exclaimed, "Shut up, I'm talking." Other petty and untrue accusations were made and she finally said, "Now it's your turn to talk." I said, "Doctor there has clearly been some serious miscommunication." She interrupted me saying, “Oh, shut up. My staff don't lie." She and the clinic manager, Eva, declined to tell me what staff the doctor was talking about. She also stated, "I have the abandonment thing covered, so don't even try that." Regardless of how it was covered, she and Columbia Family Medical Group did abandon me, and at a very critical time in my treatment and surgical recovery. I am also a clinician, and I have never witnessed such disrespectful, rude, negligent and offbeat behavior from any other clinician in my lifetime. By the way, all of the nurses, neatly positioned at their lab stalls, appeared very forlorn. We noticed in the outer office that there were Six nurse positions open to applicants. I cannot give this doctor even part of a star.
