Denver Wrinkle Relaxers Treatments: Botox®, Dysport™ and Xeomin®
Botox/Dysport/Xeomin injections are a very effective treatment for dynamic wrinkles caused by hyperactive muscles lying underneath the skin, such as frowning, raising of the eyebrows or smiling. It is most commonly used on the upper face for forehead lines, frown lines, or crow’s feet. It may also be used around the lips, corners of the mouth, neck, and for raising of the eyebrows in a modified regimen for improving face contours. Botox will not help wrinkles caused by sun damage or intrinsic aging.

How It Works
Botox/Dysport/Xeomin works by temporarily blocking the impulses from the nerves to the facial muscles under the skin. This prevents those muscles from contracting and causing the wrinkles when you frown, smile, or raise your eyebrows,. The duration of this treatment is 4–9 months, depending on the muscle type, the level of activity and the amount of units injected and the number of treatments.

Temporary bruising, weakness of nearby muscles or loss of facial expressions may be side effects that occur when the injection is done by unskilled practitioners.

Recovery Time & Cost
This treatment does not require any recovery time. Cost will vary depending of the number of areas treated from $245–$395 per area. Make sure the clinic policy allows for additional injections should your treatment not be completely successful. Diluted Botox injection will result in only partial and short lived effect.
